Yulia Marushevska, (author of “I am a Ukrainian”, the well-known video about EuroMaidan) prepared a video in which she addresses Dutch citizens on the eve of the referendum. Yulia recounts the events which have transpired since the Maidan – the Russian occupation of the Crimea, the war in the Donbas, the downing of flight MH17, and the explains why the Association Agreement has become a symbol of freedom for Ukrainians.
Yulia asks to recall that Ukraine was moving to the European future long before Euromaidan, because our state wanted to get rid of the ghost of the Soviet Union.
She stressed on victims of Maidan (Heaven Hundred), on crimes of Russia, which occupied the Crimea. Now this state is escalating the criminal war in the Donbass, bombing hospitals in Syria and causing the migration crisis in the EU.
“Association for us – it is not only free visa regime, it is a chance to achieve the country’s development.” – said Yulia.
