We are happy to announce Intercontinental Startup Battle – one of the most important business events of 2017! Produced in collaboration by Startup.Network and HACK Temple.
This is an international investment battle, in which the most advantageous and investment-appealing startups from East European countries and California are going to fight.
Please, note that investment casting will be a rather tough one, which means only those future “unicorns” who could manage prequalification will take part in the event.
All you have to do at this stage is to fill in an application form and wait for the results.
We would also like to point out that despite complicated conditions you definitely need to try a hand, since there will be private investors, corporate investors, representatives of international venture funds and investment banks, heads of the leading private companies present among the guests of the Startup Battle.
This gives you the possibility to get acquainted with the ecosystem of Silicon Valley, meet a lot of important people and essentially broaden your own network!
On April 26 mentors of HACKT Mission will carry out preparatory pitch training and provide consultations for the participants of Intercontinental Startup Battle.
HACKT Mission is a one-year program for international startups that want to enter new markets, including the American one. This program gives its participants direct access to the network of mentors and experts of Silicon Valley, including 12 personal (face-to-face) sessions with the chosen mentor, hard infrastructure, including a unique meeting location and postal address with San Francisco zip code, 10-days intensive course on entrepreneurship fundamentals in the Valley with the leading experts and membership in the private club of entrepreneurs for continuous exchange of expertise and high standard networking.
A post-Battle 2 days will be dedicated to touring Silicon Valley and networking with locals. You could join by contacting event manager Julia Smila(e-mail: [email protected]). It is planned to visit such iconic “places of power”: 1st day – HP ventures, Almaz Capital, Facebook, Stanford University; 2nd day – Bank of the West, Plug’n’Play, 500 startups, Google, Apple (building).
Intercontinental Startup Battle at San Francisco will be held in two stages:
- 05:00 PM – 06:00 PM: Entrepreneurial section – during this section the true sharks of investment business and the so called old-timers of the market will share their experience with the young peers. These are the experienced entrepreneurs who have already achieved high results in business, developed a number of their own projects and ready to share their expertise and invest into perspective business ideas. They will speak about the latest trends, share their own experience and knowledge, answer questions and advise the participants on the further development of projects.
- 06:00 PM – 08:00 PM: Investor section “Startup presentations” – the second stage is devoted to the presentations by entrepreneurs. Each founder will have 6 minutes for a presentation, three minutes for pitch and the same amount of time for the experts’ questions and recommendations.
Two projects will win: one of those will be the participant who took the first place according to the voting results of the experts, and the second one will be chosen according to the results of online voting of guests. Voting results of experts will show which continent produced the most promising startups.
